Dermaplaning is a facial treatment that removes dead skin cells and fine downy hair from the face and neck using a one use sterile blade. This leaves the skin wonderfully smooth and will aid in the application of makeup, perfect for a special occasion. It can be performed every 4 weeks.
Our dermaplaning facial is delivered by a therapist with a minimum of 10 years experience. Each treatment involves a full skin consultation, double cleanse, dermaplaning to the face and neck, a soothing, hydrating mask and cooling jade rollers. 45 minutes.

Contraindications
• High/low blood pressure
• Menstruation
• Pregnancy
• History of thrombosis or embolism
• Anxiety
• Severe bruising/swelling, minor cuts/abrasions
• Retinol/ Retin A: Wait at least 10 days pre and post treatment
• Skin disorders (e.g. eczema, psoriasis, or neuro-dermatitis)
• Skin diseases
• Hypersensitive skins
• High vascular skins (i.e. rosacea)
• Any loss of tactile sensation
• Diabetes
• Recent laser treatment or chemical peel (wait 12 weeks minimum)
• Medication (Roaccutane or equivalent, min 3 to 6-month break)
• Clients prone to keloid scarring
• Botox: wait 8 weeks min before treatment
•Derma fillers: wait 12 weeks min before treatment
• Skin that has recently been waxed
• Skin exposed to UV light

Pre care
•Do not wear makeup to your appointment
• It is advised not to drink alcohol or caffeinated drinks before or after treatment for 24 hours
• Don't use any aggressive products for up to 10 days before treatment i.e. AHA’s, lasers, or acid peels as these could cause irritation, check contraindications for how long to wait after advanced aesthetic treatments
Post care
• Don't take long showers or hot baths for 24 hours after treatment
• Don't work out or swim for 24 hours after treatment
• Do not Massage the area treated for up to 72 hours after treatment
• Do not use any aggressive treatments for up to 72 hours after treatments
•Retinol cannot be used for at least 10 days before or after treatment
•Keep your skin clean and clear of makeup for 24 hours after treatment.
